The Worst Thing Trump Did on 3/8/24

Before I get to yesterday's winner, a note: I'm on vacation from my regular gig this week, and where I initially thought this would be easy to do while I was out of the office, the reality is I was out having fun with my family yesterday and had to stop to come post yesterday's entry.  I'm not going to sacrifice my vacation time. After today, I'll start making posts again next weekend.

For Saturday, let's look at Johnny Mabeline, Lady Blah-Blah himself, J.D.Vance. 

Apparently, Ranger Rick was out and about when confronted by Ukrainian protestors.  Considering his misguided, very public bullying of Zelensky in the Oval Office, the administration basically taking orders directly from Putin, and America's pro-Ukranian tilt, he seemed somewhat surprised that the protestors were protesting.

By the way, I should mention Vance had his 3-year-old kid with him. 

This was by design. Vance and his team know people are angry, so he decided to go out in public with his 'human shield,' his 3-year-old kid, in an attempt to make it seem like anyone protesting him was a villain. I expect to see other members of the administration mimic this tactic as their policies become less popular. 

Did people yell at him?  Damn right they did, with GOOD cause, but there was never a concern of him being physically threatened, and no one physically threatened the 3-year-old, but by the way you hear Vance tell it, he made it seem like he and his DESIGNED HUMAN SHIELD barely escaped with their lives. This is a lie.

The obvious thing to say is, "If you are concerned about 3-year-olds, then you should see what Russia is doing to them in Ukraine," but let me point out the other side of this.  Vance and Trump pardoned people, the January 6th Insurrectionists, who beat cops, destroyed the US Capitol building, hit people with flag poles, hockey sticks, and fire extinguishers, sprayed people with chemicals, and tried to overturn a legitimate election.  They pardoned THOSE protestors, calling them "good American patriots!"

But some people yelling at Vance as he walks down a public street, "THEY'RE ANIMALS!!!"

It also shouldn't be ignored that this gross over-exaggeration of people protesting members of the Administration will be their argument on why the military needs to start shooting any protestor who dares raise their voice in protest.
