They leaned heavily into Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer returning with an all-time skit, the Culps, the wildly nerdy-looking older couple who were always ready to play a church or school function, and who were well schooled in popular music culture.
This sketch doesn't need more of an intro. Some adult language and outright hilarious at times.
Also this week a great video from the Trek Planner, a YouTuber who goes on these great hikes in the desert southwest and finds all sorts of ruins and artifacts of the native cultures who used to dominate the land.
What he does find this time is really cool; petroglyphs that have been relatively undisturbed since their creation. It's not only cool but a little creepy, too.
Finally tonight, a sports result you might not know about.
It's hard to watch what Trump and his team are doing and have pride in America. The Age of Cruelty is here, and Trump is acting like a deranged ex-boyfriend: "If you don't love me the way I want you, I will hurt you to try to make you love me the hard way."
I love America. I am a Veteran. It's hard to see the world look at us like villains. Considering what Trump is doing, I don't blame them. And that's nothing compared to how much he is actively hurting this country's people, including his most ardent supporters.
You can still find reasons to be a proud American. Case in point, the US men won gold in team pursuit at the World Speed Skating Championships. USA! USA! USA!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Remember to stay safe and get vaccinated! I don't want to see you suffer, unlike the Trump Administration.
