Howdy all!
This week, we start with John Oliver and Last Week Tonight. On Sunday, he had a show that talked about sports gambling and the rise of the apps that make losing your house easy!
It is really scary to see how quickly these sports betting apps have taken over everything and not only do the apps themselves seem to have ZERO moral compass, but it's very clear that the negative impacts to society will be dire. We really need to think about whether this is a good idea.
As one woman says [paraphrasing] - "If you are trying to give up drugs, you don't have the drug dealer coming to your house and handing you more drugs."
Moving on...
If you watch my radio show live stream, you might notice I occasionally wear a Congaree National Park t-shirt. Congaree is located in South Carolina, and it is one of the last remaining untouched bayou wetlands that used to stretch from North Carolina to Texas. In April and May, the park becomes the thing of fantasies as fireflies come out in droves and turn the place mythical.
But you may have noticed where you live that there is a serious downturn in the amount of fireflies overall. True Facts is trying to help answer that question by asking, "Where Have All The Fireflies Gone!"
