The Worst Thing Trump Did on 3/16/25

On Sunday, it was Trump ignoring the rule of law and making up the rules as he goes.

In yesterday's TWTTD, we talked about how a judge immediately stepped in and told Trump he couldn't use antiquated wartime rules to ethnically cleanse the US of Venezuelans, and he ordered the Trump Administration to return any US planes in the air carrying Venezuelans out of the country.

The White House itself has now bragged it intentionally ignored the court order and allowed planes to leave the country.

Trump also claimed yesterday that Biden's pardons he issued to prevent Trump from going on a political revenge tour are null and void.  As Aaron Rupar stated, that's some serious "Dictator Sh!t."

This is a Constitutional Crisis.  Republicans in the Legislative Branch have all but ignored their role in monitoring and reigning in Trump, and the Judiciary Branch is teetering on the very edge of abolishing their role as well.

The Supreme Court ruled last year in a 6-3 ruling that Trump was absolutely immune from anything he did while President of the United States. If Joe Biden had the SAME EXACT case in front of that SCOTUS, it would've been a 9-0 ruling against Biden.

Earlier this month, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that Trump had to follow the ruling of a lower court judge, with 4 Supreme Court justices saying the Judiciary Branch has no right to order the President to do anything. (They also made a comical comment about the 'self-aggrandizement of a jurisdiction,' something the 4 dissenting votes applaud when some Republican clown takes a case to Texas to be reviewed by their pro-fascism judges.)  If Joe Biden had brought the SAME EXACT case to that SCOTUS, it would've been a 9-0 ruling against Biden.

We already know Alito and Thomas are bought and paid for, stooges who will vote to destroy the power of the Judicial Branch to appease their Fascism. Will three more join them?

And will the Republicans in Congress do ANYTHING to stop this insanity???
