For the record, you can protest something without breaking the law. People who are damaging and torching Teslas, you're doing it wrong. That brand is toxic enough by itself that the car manufacturer will never recover from the damage Elon has done to it. Stop vandalizing things.
Pam Bondi, Trump's AG, has decided to call the vandalism to Teslas "domestic terrorism." It is a crime, but it's vandalism, not terrorism. This is on the heels of her insisting anyone who protests a Tesla dealership or manufacturing plant is under government surveillance and is being tracked.
This is CLEARLY Bondi trying to use the DOJ as a personal police squad for Elon, using the handful of idiots causing damage to criminalize the peaceful protestors. The Trump administration wants to find some argument to unleash the US military on the people of this country, and this might be their eventual justification.
One other side note. Do you know what Bondi DOESN'T consider domestic terrorism? January 6th, when insurrectionists trying to overthrow a legitimate US election violently attacked the US Capitol, beat cops, threatened the Senate and House, destroyed property, stole property, and wiped feces all over the walls.
THAT wasn't terrorism in Bondi's mind, but walking in front of a Tesla dealership on a public sidewalk with a sign is.
