The Worst Thing Trump Did on 3/5/24

I'm a Veteran of the US Army. I'm proud of my service.

A secret memo was leaked yesterday showing the Trump Administration was looking to slash TENS OF THOUSANDS OF VETERAN AFFAIRS EMPLOYEES, MANY OF WHOM ARE VETERANS THEMSELVES!!! This would be a cut of almost 20% of the VA workforce.

The VA serves 9 million clients and, last year alone, accomplished 127,500,000 appointments.  THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION EXPANDED VA CARE to not only cover the military victims of burn pits but to expand an already understaffed VA.  Trump and his team will undo all that, plus much more.

Veterans will be fired.  Veterans will get worse service.  Veterans will die.

The remaining VA employees who already bust their asses will be worked even harder out of Republican spite for the system.

And the end goal of the Republicans is to sell off the VA to a for-profit Republican company to provide worse service at a FAR more expensive price.

Republicans do not care about the Veterans.

And as a Veteran, let me talk to the other Veterans who eagerly pose with Republicans for photo ops to help promote a political party that has shown nothing but DISDAIN AND DISGUST for military Veterans and their families. What's wrong with you?  YOU CAN NOT ARGUE YOU ARE FOR THE TROOPS AND ENDORSE, POSE WITH, OR VOTE FOR A REPUBLICAN!

Stop being selfish and realize Trump and the GOP are not your friends! They're using you!!!

The Worst Thing Trump Did on 3/4/25

Let's turn our attention to Trump's Health and Human Services Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

On Monday, it was reported that Kennedy's top spokesperson, former Trump Administration official Thomas Corry, had suddenly resigned less than two weeks after taking the job.  It was reported that he had a major disagreement with Kennedy in regard to the growing measles outbreak in Texas.

Now, we are getting an idea of what that conflict was about. RFK Jr. wrote an editorial for Fox News on Tuesday where he said the solution to the measles was nutrition and Vitamin A, while at the same time he did not encourag everyone to get vaccinated against the measles.

Seriously!

He said, "Vitamin A dramatically reduce[s] measles mortality."  That's an outright lie.  Vitamin A is used as supportive therapy for kids who already have measles. but it's not a cure by any means. Nor is it an alternative for vaccines, WHICH ARE PROVEN TO BE AN EFFECTIVE MEANS TO STAVE OFF INFECTION!!!  Immediately, many doctors and scientists warned that the nurition/Vitamin A route was ineffective and put children at risk of contracting the disease.

RFK Jr., his trolls, and Trump are more than willing to kill you and your kids for their causes.

The Worst Thing Trump Did on 3/3/25

This could EASILY be the end of aid to Ukraine in Trump's petty attempt to appease this country's true President (Putin), but I'll go with the insanely boneheaded decision to march ahead with his tariff plans for Canada, Mexico, and China.

It's amazing how he and his supporters forgot how much his tariffs during his first term hurt Americans, especially the farmers.  Their markets weren't corrected until President Biden fixed them. Too bad the dumb ass rural Trump voters EAGERLY forgot those little factoids as they foolishly voted for Trump to do exactly what he is doing, something they now have the audacity to insist "we had no idea he was going to do that...again!"

There is an ugly reality to our modern trade culture. The United States needs products from outside the US FAR MORE than the rest of the world needs US Products.  I guarantee that the export tariffs the foreign countries will place on our products will have a far more severe ripple effect on us.  These other countries are already negotiating LONG-TERM contracts with other non-US countries to supply them the products they need, more than likely at a cheaper price.

Meanwhile, this idea that the US will just consume the near 180 billion in exported agricultural products without immediately tanking the markets in this country (as they'll have FAR TOO MUCH SURPLUS PRODUCT) is uneducated and stupid.

Nope, this will make everything cost more while cutting the revenue for the suppliers who make it, and this time, I doubt the rest of the world will return to the US, IF a new election ever happens.

Rural Americans:  Reap what you sow.

The Worst Thing Trump Did on 3/2/25

Yesterday, there were actually two things that fell under the same category: incredible incompetence.

First, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. might have finally had an epiphany on vaccines, as the measles outbreak in Texas is starting to spiral out of control. Realizing raw milk and healing crystals weren't cutting the infection rate, he's at least started to listen to scientists (a little late, though). Yesterday, he suggested that people get the proven MMR vaccine.

I did say "MIGHT." Kennedy did not encourage people to get the vaccination, as he still insisted this is a personal choice (as measles runs rampant).  Kennedy is trying to play both sides of the coin. He now knows vaccines do serve a purpose, but he's also still trying to appeal to his fringe base, the ones who were only yesterday screaming that everyone in the country getting the measles was a better option than one person getting vaccinated.  These loons will kill us all for THEIR ignorant and uneducated cause.

Then there is Pete Hegseth, who inexplicably ordered the US Cyber command to halt all operations against Russia. THERE IS NO JUSTIFIABLE REASON TO DO SUCH A THING!!! Considering Russia's military is a freaking laughing stock, the ONLY thing that country has is their cyber operations and they're still actively targeting the US. This is another sign that Putin is making all the decisions about the US's foreign police, intelligence, and defense agenda.

Reagan (who is burning in hell himself) is spinning in his grave.

The Worst Thing Trump Did on 3/1/25

Trump was pretty quiet yesterday, a sign his team knows he crapped the foreign relations bed on Friday.

There was a rumor that Trump met with the disgusting Andrew Tate after Trump lobbied the Romanians to return Tate to the US.  That might be true, but so far, I have not seen a confirmation.

Let's go with Trump saying he will posthumously pardon Pete Rose, the baseball great who, when he was a manager for the Cincinnati Reds, bet on his team, as he admitted in 2007, "almost every night." Trump was clearly trying to take his disastrous Oval Office implosion off the front page, but Rose's ban was for VERY legit reasons.

Trump is trying to argue that even though the league VERY CLEARLY says you can not bet on baseball as a manager, regardless of the bet, since Rose only bet on his team to win, he really didn't deserve the suspension.  Two problems with this. 1) The Dowd report, which was sanctioned to look into Rose's betting, argued it was likely Rose did indeed bet on his team to lose, something bolstered by boneheaded managerial decisions in a few games that cost the Reds the win. 2) Even if he only bet on his team to win, he violated the integrity of the game itself by placing his bets above what was best for the team.

Major League Baseball banned Rose for life because, like the 1919 Chicago White Sox scandal, the crime threatened the integrity of the game itself, turning baseball more into professional wrestling than a sport where there was an unknown outcome.

But once again, this was Trump just blurting out ANYTHING to try to get his disastrous Friday off the front page.

The Worst Thing Trump Did on 2/28/25

Sometimes, it's a no-brainer.

Yesterday, Trump, in an effort to appease his commander-in-chief Putin, coordinated an Oval Office attack on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.  There are a lot of signs this was pre planned, from Vance (who has been pretty much absent since inauguration) suddenly showing up with a clearly PRACTICED list of attack questions, to a planted member of the media pool berating Zelenskyy for not wearing a suit (How F-ing stupid!), to a member of TASS (Russian State Media) being in the room until a British journalist posted they were there, to Trump's comments about Russia and Ukraine which seem to have been written by Putin himself.

More proof is how Trump and MAGA were frantically screaming it wasn't a foreign policy disaster worse than Neville Chamberlain but rather a resounding victory because "We're tough guys!" If you repeatedly have to tell people you're tough guys, you're not tough guys.

Political activist Chris Kluwe sized it up best yesterday when he described what happened as the undoing of 100 years of US foreign policy success.  The only change I would make is that it's actually closer to 110 years. The United States' reputation is in the absolute dumpster, with many European countries (and Canada) meeting hours after the debacle, intentionally without the US. Not a single one of our traditional allies thinks the US can be trusted with a spoon, let alone being put in the front of all foreign policy decisions.

If I'm China, I'm sprinting into Ukraine, offering anything they need for 1/10th of the US' demands, instantly becoming the new sole world power countries turn to in a time of crisis. I also guarantee Russia would IMMEDIATELY withdraw from Ukraine, as they don't have the military to fight in Ukraine (especially if China was involved) for much longer.

Yesterday will be a before and after moment in most history books.  The United States is now the world's villain, and I don't blame them for thinking that way.  It's embarrassing to be a US citizen today.

Meanwhile, a majority of the national news media, after witnessing what actually happened, have pointedly reported on the disaster by leading with the Trump Administration's narrative; laughable lies and a desperate re-imagining of what really happened. They are clearly part of Trump's armada. It'd be like if the Hindenberg crashed, and after seeing the devastation, them reporting on it with "The Trump Administration has reported a minor blimp accident happened, that it's really not that bad, but it's also all Joe Biden and Zelenskyy's fault."

God help us all!
