President Trump, Week 34

IT'S BACK!!!

Here's this week's long list of unsurpassed buffoonery coming from President Trump and his White House for the week beginning Monday, September 4th to Sunday, September 10th.  This is likely not all of the Trump team's transgressions, but it's most of them.

A reminder: pretty much everything on this list would've been a catalyst for a major investigation if the President was Obama.  With the orange Crisco gorilla as our 'leader,' the Republicans who were getting ready for a 9th and 10th Benghazi investigations, a 5th Clinton Foundation investigation, and 4th and 5th Clinton E-mail Server investigations (previous investigations had proven repeatedly there was no chargeable crimes in any of those cases) are biting their tongues so much, they've given themselves permanent piercings.

Why did I take a break?  My kids were out of school and I wasn't about to spend most of my summer on Trump Lists.  Now, with the kiddos back at it, I have the time.  I'll admit I'm going to pull back on hours per day I update this, so I'll probably miss a few things.  You can always make a comment below if you have something to add.

I've also shifted this from a Friday to Friday week, to a Monday through Sunday week.  I was burning up WAY too much of my weekends trying to get these lists proofread, decorated and posted.  This change will help out on that.

Let's hit it!  34th verse, same as the first!

  • Trump goes on another tirade insisting the media is not reporting on his efforts at Hurricane relief in Texas.  To bolster his claim, the Administration uses images they took from the media they'd just insisted was ignoring him
  • It's revealed the Saudis buttered up Trump when he visited their country by giving him multiple lavish gifts, including portraits, swords, and tiger and cheetah fur robes. It worked, as Trump considers Saudi Arabia one of his closest allies
  • Multiple Republican leaders are openly ripping Trump's soon to be announced decision to repeal the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Act, DACA (the Dreamers Act), with many openly fretting the election consequences for the party
  • The EPA and their head, Trump appointed Scott Pruitt, are taking some heat for their personal attacks on two AP journalists who wrote about the lack of 'on the ground' EPA inspections at Houston area Superfund clean up sites after Hurricane Harvey.  The journalists pointed out as the EPA says they can't get to the sites, the journalists proved that wasn't true.  The EPA has only done minimal surveillance of the sites, and when it was pointed out by the AP, the EPA's response was to attack the messengers.  Their catty response was almost immediately removed from the EPA's website
  • The EPA also insisted the journalists never went to Texas, insisting the article was written by them in DC.  The two journalists were easily verified as having actually been in Houston
  • The US seems to be pushing to get the UN to sign off on a potential pre-emptive nuclear strike on North Korea, ignoring the fallout of such a strike would adversely affect hundreds of millions in South Korea, Japan, China and Russia, as well as the United States
  • Multiple states have already pledged to sue the Federal Government over Trump's DACA plans
  • Trump's demands to renegotiate NAFTA has lead to an interesting development.  Canada is insisting the US had to roll back all of it's 'Right to Work' Laws as part of any new negations, laws which are designed to kill off labor unions
  • Trump's Labor Day message seems vague, with no mention of the quality of life of the worker, and features a picture of him and his wife.  Speaking of laboring, Trump has spent an insane amount of his first 34 weeks as President golfing
  • Trump, in a tweet, says they will stop all trade with anyone doing business with North Korea.  This implies we are going to stop all business dealings with China
  • South Koreans seem very confused by Trump's attacking them for trying to avoid a major war or devastating air strike with North Korea
  • Apparently Trump's EPA has given the EPA's Deputy Associate Administrator for Public Affairs, John Konkus, the ability to veto any grant application submitted to the EPA if the application mentions climate change
  • A Russian politician, Nikita Isaev, admitted, on television, the Russians have compromising material on Trump, and he says it's now time to release it.  I put this on the list because, comparatively, if any country had made the same statements about Obama, over 100 Republican politicians would've called to BEG to be at the official compromising material release press conference, and Fox News would be offering 50 million to make the release into a primetime special
  • It's revealed Trump and the GOP plan on paying for their massive corporate and 1% tax break by eliminating the home mortgage interest deduction and by taxing 401K's on the front end, dramatically raising homeowners taxes, and making saving for retirement cost prohibitive. This is the epitome of cutting off your nose to spite your face
  • Attorney General Jeff Sessions makes it official, Trump plans on punishing kids brought here by their parents, who WANT to be US citizens, by ending the DACA program
  • Trump punted the responsibility for getting rid of DACA by tweeting the Congress needs to fix it, with a not very detailed "Congress, get ready to do your job - DACA!"
  • It's revealed that Trump's nominee to run NASA, Rep. Jim Bridenstine, is a staunch 'Humans cause Climate Change' denier, something NASA has been on the forefront of proving to be 100% true
  • The photo Trump used to promote American labor on Labor Day, featured the First Lady wearing an Italian dress
  • The Trump Administration argument against the DACA is it's unconstitutional.  That's a lie
  • Trump's nominee for mine safety is a former mining executive, David Zatezalo, with a checkered history of mine safety. Quoting Zatezalo, "I'm not sure of all the rules and regulations."  He stated this AFTER he was nominated
  • Trump's approval rating is 34%.  His disapproval rating is 61%
  • Trump's pick to lead the Justice Department's Civil Rights division is Eric Dreiband, a man who has numerous times spoken against people's civil rights, especially the rights of LGBTQ Americans
  • Trump and the Administration have remained quiet since releasing the study from the Department of Justice which states Trump's claims former President Obama wiretapped him are completely false.  Reminder, Trump insisted President Obama was actively doing so, demanding full inquiries into the matter.  Now, his own Justice Department has called his claims bogus
  • The House Intelligence Committee has formerly requested documents from the FBI and the Justice Department in relation to the Steele Dossier, the election opposition research which exposes Trump's Russian connections and his compromised position
  • Trump aides are worried as his longtime bodyguard and personal aide, Keith Schiller, is leaving his position within the White House.  It's rumored he is leaving after butting heads with Chief of Staff John Kelly.  Aides say this latest departure from Trump's former close knit team leaves Trump more alone in a job he is clearing unqualified for
  • Speaking of Chief of Staff Kelly, it's being reported he was the person behind ensuring former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke was not offered a position in the White House
  • It's reported Trump might be threatening Dreamers under the DACA for the sole purpose of trying to force the Democrats to fund his border wall
  • Trump, reportedly, constantly uses his private phone to make calls to former aides who have left the White House.  He's also used it to contact people not associated with the Administration at all.  I bring this up because wasn't their something about how Clinton was unqualified for the White House because of her use of private communication equipment, something which was THOROUGHLY investigated?
  • USA Today reports corporate lobbyists have flooded Trump's golf courses, paying membership fees for access to the President.  The membership fees go directly into Trump's pocket, so he's actually personally benefiting from corporate lobbyists, but he also has been caught golfing with lobbyists, and lobbyists are likely having far more access to him than previously revealed
  • It's been mentioned multiple times, by former Republican and Democratic Presidential Administration staff, many of Trump's core policies come down to evaluating people on the color of their skin
  • It's reported Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos in planning on ending President Obama's programs that worked to eradicate sexual assault on college campuses.  I'm sure her speech will start with, "I think we can acknowledge rape is bad, but..."
  • Trump tweets out a superlative toned statement about Hurricane Irma being a massive storm, seeming to ignore the US territories, with American citizens, Irma's already ripping to shreds
  • The UN released a report stating Syria used chemical weapons on it's own citizens dozens of times.  I mention this because Trump basically surrendered to Russia on Syria, letting the chemical weapons users win
  • It's revealed ending DACA will cost the US 60 billion to implement and $280 Billion in lost revenue
  • Trump's son, Donald Jr., will speak to the Senate Judiciary Committee behind closed doors on Thursday about his meeting in Trump Tower with the Russians to help his father win the election with aid from the Russians
  • Trump continues his WAY off the mark comments about mega hurricane Irma, by stating, "Believe me, not good."  Once again his only concern seems to be Florida, and not Puerto Rico and other American territories which are currently being destroyed by the storm
  • Trump claims in a tweet the United States of America is the highest taxed nation on the planet. This is laughably untrue, and a lie he has said before, and was corrected on before
  • The entire Senate got a briefing on North Korea and the consequences of Trump's over aggressive saber rattling.  Afterwards, some senators were saying the situation is a "complete mess," reporting that Trump has apparently overstepped what his advisors have told him to do, making things far worse
  • During a meeting about the Debt ceiling between Trump and House and Senate leaders, First Daughter and White House staffer doing...something(?) Ivanka Trump interrupted just to say hello and bring up a completely unrelated issue.  Seriously, she angered all the politicians by making a glorified social call during debt ceiling negotiations
  • Trump angered many Republicans when, during the discussion about the debt ceiling, he ignored the requests of his own party and sided with the Democrats who were asking for only a 3 month increase.  Republicans wanted a debt ceiling increase which would take the government past the mid term elections
  • Facebook reveals, in 2016, it was taking money to run ads for Trump from shady Russian businesses, suspected of having ties to the Russian government
  • The Steele Dossier gets another evaluation, and it's not good for Trump.  Former CIA station Chief John Sipher published an analysis of the dossier, which concluded the report is clear, consistent and corroborated.  This means some of the more urine related elements of the dossier are likely true too
  • Trump had a speech in North Dakota.  He displayed a 3rd grader's understanding of climate science, was insensitive to hurricane victims, has a rambling incoherent economic/tax policy and got really awkward introducing his daughter.  YIKES!
  • In a speech to North Dakotans, Trump told them they were far better off than hurricane ravaged Texans.  No, really!
  • Trump lawyer Ty Cobb, in reference to Trump, says, "the more adults in the room," the better
  • Conservatives are furious because the TV show American Horror Story is portraying Trump's supporters as a dangerous violent cult
  • The Daily Beast has the story of wealthy Russians renting out Trump properties so they can have their babies in America, earning dual citizenship.  So far, not nearly the outrage Trump and the Republicans had for Dreamers
  • It's reported the money Trump saved in Inauguration costs, money which he promised would be donated to charity, has yet to be donated to charity
  • White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney says any tax package which gets passed this year will be retroactive, although it's unclear when it'd exactly be retroactive to.  This would also mean ultra-wealthy people are going to have a Federal armored truck drive up and drop off their 'thank you gift' from Trump
  • Confirmed: Betsy Devos calls for an overhaul of how colleges investigate sexual assault, rolling back Obama era regulations designed to protect victims of sexual assault.  As expected, DeVos did indeed do a 'we all agree sexual assault is bad, BUT...'
  • Trump is open to completely removing the debt ceiling, opening up the flood gates on deficit spending.  This from the same party who BELLOWED about Obama not paying down the deficit.  Trump says the debt ceiling "complicates things"
  • Donald Trump Jr., testifying to a closed door Senate, told them his excuse for meeting with the Russians in 2016 was to seek damaging information on Hillary Clinton because he was concerned she might not be fit for the office of President.  He insists nothing came out of that meeting and he denied colluding with a foreign government to undermine the election process of the United States
  • Special Counsel Robert Mueller has reportedly requested interviews with White House staffers who were aboard Air Force One when the initial misleading statement about Trump Jr.'s meeting with the Russians was written
  • Rep. Adam Schiff noted that Donald Trump Jr., in comments about the 2016 meeting with the Russians, no longer included any reference to his father, Trump, not knowing anything about the meeting
  • It's noted that Donald Trump Jr. now has told 4 different stories about what took place in that meeting with the Russians in 2016
  • Trump, a man who has claimed he is a champion for LGBTQ rights, has pledged his support for the homophobic Colorado baker as their case heads to the Supreme Court
  • The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals is the latest court to strike down Trump's Unconstitutional Immigrant/Refugee/Muslim travel ban.  It was a 3-0 ruling
  • Speaker of the House Paul Ryan was caught off guard when it was pointed out the Trump Organization, an LLC, will benefit dramatically through tax proposals he himself is championing.  He was clearly unaware of how the Trump Organization is labeled
  • White House Special Council Ty Cobb and White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders were among the numerous Administration members fooled by an e-mail prankster who pretended to be White House Social Media Director Dan Scavino Jr.  The e-mail address was dan.scavinojr@emailprankster.co.uk
  • Trump is very pleased with the media coverage of his agreeing to accept the Democrats plan on the debt ceiling extension
  • One thing lost in the hurricane coverage is a strange fact about Trump's FEMA.  It's not like hurricanes are rare.  We know they hit the US every year, around this same time, yet FEMA has claimed it's almost out of money after Hurricane Harvey hit Texas, BEFORE Irma hits the mainland US, and before a assessment of damage to US territories is even carried out.  Why FEMA is broke at the beginning of Hurricane Season is unknown
  • Republican aides describe Trump during debt ceiling negations, negotiations in which he sided with the Democrats, as being in "Apprentice mode"
  • Trump started off his Friday attacking the Republicans for not getting Obamacare repeal passed, for sticking with the filibuster rules, and for not immediately having a tax bill ready, something which should be a back burner issue with Hurricanes Harvey and Irma
  • It's reported over 200 schools in Texas were damaged by Hurricane Harvey, yet it's reported that Secretary of Education DeVos has no plans to visit anytime soon
  • It's pointed out that as Trump and his family flail in the Mueller investigation, Vice President Mike Pence is also in a lot of trouble for repeatedly lying about the Russia matter as well
  • Robert Mueller's probe will now interview former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, and former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, and current Trump advisor Hope Hicks, officially moving the investigation into the Administration's inner circle
  • The EPA head Scott Pruitt insists talking about climate change as the largest ever recorded hurricane prepares to hit the US mainland "is misplaced," and calls it "insensitive" to Floridians
  • Christine Todd Whitman, the woman who ran W. Bush's EPA, openly criticized current EPA chief Pruitt for his relentless denial of climate change
  • The influential lawyer who inspired Trump's Unconstitutional Immigrant/Refugee/Muslim travel ban, David Yerushalmi, is on record as saying white people are genetically superior to black people and the founding fathers were right in not giving minorities or women the right to vote
  • Trump is trying to divert FEMA money to churches, clearly violating the separation of church and state.  It's not like there aren't hundreds of quality, non-religious organizations Trump could divert the money to
  • Signaling the Administration is not quite finished with it's New Hampshire voter fraud lie, Vice President Pence's Press Secretary Marc Lotter pushed the widely disproved conspiracy theory that New Hampshire was stolen from Trump
  • Russia's new Ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, described a "warm and friendly" introductory meeting he had with Trump as "chummy."  The White House is denying Trump met with the new Russian Ambassador and insists he was only at the White House for a credentialing ceremony
  • With Hurricane Irma getting ready to scour Florida, people are asking why Trump has yet to open Mar-A-Lago, a secure resort with US government backed flood insurance, as a potential shelter
  • One of Trump's justifications for ending DACA was how those people are illegally taking jobs from Americans.  Outside of being a foolish argument as those people were, and still are, here legally, hence working legally, they generally are not taking away skilled labor or professional jobs.  The only people happy about the jobs being opened by removing the Dreamers are racists
  • Florida Governor Rick Scott thanked Trump for praying for his state, as it got ready to be scoured clean by Hurricane Irma.  No proof Trump actually did pray for Florida
  • CIA Director Mike Pompeo has abandoned the CIA's diversity initiative and has made the CIA far more white and Christian oriented organization since taking over. Pompeo is a devout Evangelical and has made comments 'Jesus Christ is the solution for the world'
  • Trump violated year ANOTHER campaign promise.  At one point he vowed if he became President his businesses would not engage in any transactions with foreign government entities while President.  It's now reported he hired a major Chinese construction company owned by the Chinese Government to work on his latest project in Dubai, making the United Arab Emirates the second foreign government he's engaged in in this story alone
  • It also should be noted this is a twofer, as Trump has promised Americans jobs.  Since he needed to hire foreign workers in the UAE, why did he not hire an American construction company?
  • Newsweek has a report out which states it's suspected the Russians used their UN facilities to coordinated their efforts in getting Trump elected.  These facilities are, coincidently, located to coordinate such activities, and all of them feature incinerators to burn sensitive information, such as what happened recently in San Francisco at a Russian UN facility, where the Russians were burning a tremendous amount of stuff prior to a US inspection the next day
  • Trump has finally decided to take time to meet with the only African American Republican Senator, Tim Scott.  Scott has been very critical of Trump in the aftermath of the Charlottesville incident, when Trump insisted there were good people within the Nazi's, KKK and white supremacist organizations
  • As his city is getting avenged by Hurricane Irma, Republican Mayor of Miami blasts Trump for denying the climate change science
  • One of Trump's spiritual advisors, Megachurch pastor Paula White, another of the prosperity gospel ilk, says she regrets saying Trump has actually been anointed by God, and anyone who is against him is "fighting against the hand of God."
  • EPA Chief Pruitt once again lashes out at anyone who is trying to point out these hurricanes have a definite climate change element to them
  • The Hill reported on Friday that US surveillance planes which were monitoring an ISIS convoy in Eastern Syria were called off their monitoring duties.  By whom?  The Russians made the formal request to stop monitoring them, and the US Military, likely under White House orders, complied
  • In an effort to ween out the leakers, Attorney General Jeff Sessions is threatening to give lie detector tests to the entire Security Council and their staff
  • The White House Director of Social Media, and former Trump caddie (and I am not making that up) Dan Scavino Jr. is caught spreading misinformation about Hurricane Irma
  • Trump says these deadly hurricanes ripping apart our country are helping the Coast Guard to improve their 'brand,' like they're a hot pair of jeans
  • Proving one again some of the most reliable news we currently have is late night comedic hosts, John Oliver lays out the punishing truth about the incredibly shameful pardon of Joe Arpaio.  What Trump did in pardoning him is far more akin to shady 3rd world despots than it is to what the American government is supposed to be for

WOW!  I'd forgotten the magnitude of what the Republican party and their voters were overlooking.

The First Lady wearing an Italian dress to celebrate American Labor Day, if the First Lady was Michelle Obama, would've led to WEEKS of outrage and demands for apologies.  So far, nothing from the GOP.

Then again, if Trump's resorts being used by foreigners to give birth, creating anchor babies, doesn't even get a blip on the outrage radar of Republicans, they are clearly desperately hoping if they ignore what the hell is going on, maybe their constituents will.

Make your plan to VOTE in 2018, and make sure 5 more peopler are going to do so as well.  It's all coming down to whether the House and/or the Senate goes Democrat!
