Getting going to start the day with the sunrise coming up by the Giant Slide:
The agricultural competitions are always fun to peek at. Below, behold the majesty and pageantry of the Swine barn!
And the horse competitions:
Then it's a trip to the Horticulture building:
The flower contests are always beautiful:
But the best photo of a flower I took was one outside of the Fine Arts Building.
Speaking of fine arts, their contest was impressive as always:
And the crop art is amazing to see.
They even have a scarecrow competition. The Putin with puppet Trump was especially scary!
The Creative Arts was also strong. Not sure exactly the difference with Fine Arts, but still nice.
You run into a lot of people, like one of my favorites, MN-01 Representative Tim Walz!
But there are a lot of people to run into everywhere you go:
There there's the food!
Love me a Pronto Pup! They had a strong alternative/college music presence at the Fair this year. Hippo Campus played the night I was there, at the free stage!
Finally we had a new addition to the Fair this year, a huge Ferris Wheel. It was a nice touch, up on Machinery Hill.
But it was most beautiful at night:
And there you go. The Fair ends today, as well as (symbolically) the summer. Off to work with dreams of Pronto Pups running through my head...
