It's not like I have to tell anyone this. He's been the high water mark of comedy in this country for 20 years, and his "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee' is one of the purest interview shows ever, where you get a true glimpse into the person he interviews, a lot of laughs, and a masters course on comedy. His episode with Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner is perfect.
His complete understanding of how the entertainment industry works is highlighted in this quick four minute bit with Seth Meyers. He breaks down the entire falsehood of late night talk shows, and all interview shows for that matter, and subtly makes a tremendous point about talk show hosts; you shouldn't have to be spoon fed your interviews. As a talk show host, you should be able to go out there and wing it, and still be able to put on a good show, especially when an entertainment titan is sitting across from you. It's why Carson and Letterman were so good. It also explains why Seinfeld's CICGC is so good.
It's also fun to hear him fall into classic Seinfeld cadence. Enjoy!
