President Trump, Week 19

Here's another (astoundingly long) weekly list of incompetency coming from President Trump, and his White House, for the week beginning 2 PM, May 26th to 2 PM, June 2nd.  This is likely not all of the Trump team's transgressions, but it's most of them.

A reminder - if a Democratic President and Administration had done any of these things, Republicans would've AT LEAST held a scornful news conference.  Many of these bullet-points would've automatically triggered official Congressional investigations, some would've lead to special prosecutors, and, WITHOUT A DOUBT, some would've lead to gleeful Republicans calling for impeachment proceedings to begin.  Instead, Republican SNOWFLAKES are running for their lives, terrified of media asking about Trump, petrified of town hall meetings where even Republican voters are asking WTF, and looking for a desolate cabin in the middle of nowhere where they can bed down until the GOP strategists come up with a game plan which allows them to insist Trump is horrible, while at the same time endorsing him whole heartedly.  Don't laugh Democrats.  It'll probably be more successful than you can imagine.

Start the delousing hose, and let's begin!

  • Trump gave the Pope a gift, a bronze sculpture of a lotus flower from a local Florida artist.  Although the gesture is nice enough, the piece has not been the most positively reviewed sculpture, something a Democratic President would've CLEARLY been criticized for
  • During Trump's time in Taormina, Sicily, while the rest of the G7 leaders strolled through the beautiful streets, Trump decided to go by himself, riding behind the rest of the world leaders, in a golf cart
  • Trump once again blurred the lines between his Presidency and his private business life, openly complaining to world leaders at the NATO and G7 summits he shouldn't have to go through the same channels as others for approval of his private business ventures
  • The Senate Intelligence panel has requested Trump's campaign documents dating back from before June 2015
  • IN ANOTHER BOMBSHELL STORY, according to the Washington Post, the Russian Ambassador told his Moscow bosses Trump Son in Law and Presidential Adviser Jared Kushner had sought a secret channel of communication between the White House and the Kremlin, a way for Trump to be able to talk to the Kremlin without any domestic oversight.  The Russian Ambassador Kislyak was heard talking about how Kushner suggested using Russian Diplomatic facilities to facilitate the line of communication
  • A video analysis of when Turkish dictator Erdogan's bodyguards attacked American citizens on US soil during an official state visit shows Erdogan ordered his Turkish bodyguards to attack US citizens on US soil! So far, no condemnation from Trump
  • IN ANOTHER BOMBSHELL STORY, a report shows Jared Kusher has actually had numerous contacts with the Russians which he'd previous not disclosed.  At least three other previously undisclosed contacts with the Russian Ambassador have been discovered.  Numerous US officials have confirmed these contacts
  • Trump lies as he leaves Europe, stating in both a speech and in a tweet that money is now pouring into NATO from the European countries he openly criticized.  It is not
  • White House officials are upset with Trump's "ill-advised tweets," as they keep undermining their efforts to address the Russian scandal
  • Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, who had close ties to Former Trump Campaign Manager Paul Manafort, has offered to talk to Congressional Committees as long as he can get immunity
  • The White House has caved and will provide a list of which lobbyists have been granted waivers to attain positions in the Administration
  • The last 20 years the State Department has hosted a bipartisan tradition, an event to mark the beginning of the Islam holy month of Ramadan, until now, as Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has refused to host the event
  • Trump is pushing to lift the sanctions which were placed on Russia after their illegal invasion of the Ukraine
  • The first excuse from the White House in regards to Jared Kushner's treason is that he was only trying to set up communications with Russia to coordinate Syrian military operations
  • It's reported former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was also in one of the previously unacknowledged meetings between Jared Kushner and the Russians, something he as well failed to disclose
  • Trump, who only announced a few days ago he'd be hosting a huge Iowa rally when he comes back from overseas, has now decided to not have the rally at all
  • The White House's addiction to auto-delet apps like Confide, Signal and WhatsApp could lead to many of them going to jail.  Since White House staff are supposed to preserve documents, anything they've read or shared via these auto-delete apps, especially anything involving the Russia scandal, is a crime if it wasn't preserved
  • AFTER Trump submitted his latest budget, the White House just decided to add on another 500 million dollar ship for the Navy, not exactly a last second impulse buy
  • Trump's sons show up to an RNC gathering to help plan a strategy to boost Trump's popularity.  This led many at the meeting to ask if it was appropriate, considering the boys are supposed to be running a blind trust away from their father
  • Tourism to America is plummeting, with their latest numbers showing an astounding decrease in the amount of foreign travelers coming to America, and in turn, tourism dollars
  • The Russian Banker Jared Kushner met with in December, Sergey Gorkov, is actually a very close ally of Russian Dictator Vladimir Putin and is a graduate of the Russian "finishing school" for Russian spies
  • There is a 'War Room' in the White House, but instead of it being for military conflicts, it's to deal with the massive amount of scandal emanating from the White House
  • Jared Kushner is apparently very unhappy with the exposure of his treasonous activities; mainly because he's terrified it will damage his position within the White House
  • In a speech to military troops in Italy, Trump calls the Prime Minister of Canada, "Justin from Canada"
  • National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster appears unalarmed by Kushner's attempt to set up a secret line of communication between Trump and the Kremlin, implying that type of "Back Channeling" is normal.  No, it really isn't
  • The White House released a photo of the first spouses of the NATO leaders.  It didn't go well.  Not only did they purposely omit the name of Gauthier Destenay, the married partner of Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, the first European Leader to marry their same sex partner (he is the OFFICIAL First Gentleman of Luxembourg), they also list First Lady Melania Trump twice, the First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron is listed as Brigitte Trogneux, and the year is listed as 2917.  This is the official White House photo
  • It seems Trump decided, at least for a little while, to stop listening to the official translation of the Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni G7 summit speech in Italy.  Pictures and video show Trump clearly without his translation headset on, as he decided to take in the speech in the native Italian, a language Trump does not speak
  • The new hot product in Mexico which is so popular it's impossible to find, as it quickly disappears off store shelves the minute it's stocked, is Trump Toilet Paper
  • After a horrific attack in Portland, Oregon, a terrorist strike by a white supremacist who killed two men and wounded a third who're trying to stop him for harassing Muslim women on a light rail train, Trump, even though he has had numerous opportunities to condemn the attack, has remained belligerently silent
  • Military experts are begging National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster to quit, as all he's doing is damaging his own reputation while adding validity to the invalid Trump Administration
  • Trump, instead of spending the Memorial Day Weekend supporting the troops and celebrating America, spends his time bashing his enemies while touting his already dead and failing policies
  • In one of Trump's tweets, he calls for the complete opposite of Trumpcare, by saying he wants to add money to the American Healthcare system.  Once again, that's the COMPLETE opposite of Trumpcare, his signature health care initiave
  • In an Twitter temper tantrum, Trump falls back on the tried an true method of not defending himself from the accusations, rather attack the media for reporting them.  He accuses any embarrassing information about himself or his Administration reported in the media as being made up by the "#FakeNews media"
  • Senator John McCain states he's far more concerned about Russia than he is about ISIS, and wonders if Trump would respond if Russia attacked us
  • Jared Kushner was the White House Adviser who guaranteed Trump the firing of former FBI Director James Comey would be high political "win".  It wasn't. This was confirmed by 6 separate West Wing aides
  • Trump is apparently "obsessed" with the Russia probe of his Administration
  • Senior Presidential Adviser Steve Bannon is obsessed with the leaks coming from the Administration, publicly labeling the leaks as some sort of "deep state" operation
  • One of the reasons Trump has had a hard time filling Justice Department jobs is because most lawyers are avoiding Trump like the plague
  • Senator Lindsey Graham criticizes Trump for his Administrations description of Climate Change as a hoax
  • Sources say the White House is in talks to reassign Reince Priebus from being the White House Chief of Staff to Ambassador to Greece.  This would seem like either a massive demotion, or Priebus frantically running away from the Administration
  • The evaluation of Trump's first international trip is in and it's not good.  German Chancellor Angela Merkel bluntly stated the time for Europe to rely on the leadership of the USA is over.  "We Europeans must really take our destiny into our own hands." If you take Europe's response to Trump, and factor in his agreeing to ship numerous American jobs to Saudi Arabia, and his disastrous trip to Israel, Trump's first world trip truly signifies the end of American worldwide leadership and exceptionalism, cultivated by every President and Congress, both Democrat and Republican, since World War II
  • The European Union is openly discussing the beginnings of their own, multi-country nuclear weapons program, as they openly state they can no longer trust the USA under Trump to protect them
  • According to Trump biographer, Trump has no intention of stepping down, EVER!  He'd "like to be President for life"
  • Reports are Trump will completely undo former President Obama's entire climate policy and will pull the USA out of the Paris Agreement
  • Congressional Democrats are starting numerous investigations into Jared Kushner, focusing on his illegally obtained security clearance and the justifications from Trump on Jared's assertion to a senior adviser role
  • A US State Department official described Trump's disastrous European trip as being "tacky," with our President acting more like a "drunk tourist"
  • Trump, seeming to take his orders from Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu, blew up at Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, stating "you tricked me..." before quoting Israeli reports which accuse Palestine of being the sole instigator of unrest.  I guess Trump was trying to make good for blabbing about the Israeli Intelligence...
  • After criticism from Trump and the State Department over Angela Merkel's comments about not being able to rely on the USA anymore, spokespeople for the Chancellor state she was only speaking truthfully
  • North Korea tests another ballistic missile, this one landing in Japanese waters.  This after Trump, 8 or 9 missile launches ago, insisted 'if they launch another missile, there will be consequences!'  So far there have been none
  • Trump seems to be implying he approves of Montana Congressional winner Gianforte's body slamming and repeated punching of a journalist who just asked him a question

  • Trump says he has "total confidence" in Jared Kushner
  • The Secretary of Defense, Gen. James Mattis, says Trump's mere presence at the NATO meeting shows his support to the NATO Article 5 Commitments.  No, it doesn't, especially when Trump went out of his way to NOT endorse it
  • A reminder:  there are currently no US Attorney's in the country as Trump demanded their immediate resignation months ago.  This has never been a situation this country or our Judicial branch has been in before
  • On the heels of the EPA firing most of their top scientists, the Interior Department has suspended 200 of their top scientific advisory boards
  • Trump appears to have actually stole someone else's family coat of arms and has used it, implying it's his own, covering at least one of his properties, Trump National Golf Club outside of DC, with the stolen coat of arms.  The coat of arms actually belongs to Joseph Edward Davies, the man who built the Mar-A-Lago resort.  Apparently Trump was smitten with the coat of arms, stole it, and then (AND I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP) replaced the word 'integrity' with the word 'Trump' in the motto. Apparently he tried to import the coat of arms back to Scotland for one of his courses there, but they refused to allow him to do it.  The Davies family is talking of a lawsuit
  • It's a good time to point out the fake Civil War battle Trump commemorates on one of his golf courses, 'The River of Blood,' still has a plaque recognizing the mythical battle on the course, even though it's been exposed as a fraud for two months
  • The reaction from rural areas to the Trump budget is 'stunned.'  Trump seems to have gone out of his way to punish the rural voters who put him over the top
  • Three days after the horrific attack, Trump finally condemns the racist attack in Portland, Oregon
  • It's something no one needed to tell us: White House staffers, including Vice President Pence and Press Secretary Spicer, have to endure a non-stop constant barrage of "snubs," "belittling jokes" and insults, all delivered by Trump, who demands complete and unwavering loyalty
  • In a bizarre suggestion, First Daughter and White House staffer doing...something(?) Ivanka Trump tells everyone to help salute the memory of fallen soldiers on Memorial Day by making "champaign popsicles."  Why do I get the feeling Ivanka was having champaign popsicles when she was 5
  • The Chinese green card scandal Jared Kushner's family started a few weeks back is only getting bigger.  Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, has asked for further review of the Chinese company partnered with the Kushner family, Qiaowai.  Apparently the company is still promising investors into the New Jersey Kushner family development One Journal Square lawful permanent residence in the USA, but only if they invest.  Reuters and the New York Times were the parties responsible for digging up Qiaowai's unethical behavior
  • While the National Anthem was playing at Arlington Cemetery on Memorial Day, Trump treated the song much more like a fan at a baseball game rather than the Commander in Chief preparing to honor the memories of the fallen soldiers.  Trump swayed back and forth and looked to be singing along
  • I think Trump's legacy is starting to display itself:  In Montana, the GOP Representative bodyslams and repeatedly punches a journalist for asking a question. In Kentucky, the main newspaper is shot up.  In Oregon, a GOP leader wants anti-government militias to act as private GOP bodyguards. In Texas, a GOP Rep threatens protesters he's deemed to be illegal, threatens to call ICE on them, when Hispanic politicians get justifiably angry at him, he threatens to start shooting Democrats
  • US Intelligence services captured the Russians talking in 2016 about having control over Trump and his Administration due to their possessing extremely derogatory information about Trump
  • Trump (angry German leaders heard him talking at last weeks NATO summit, correctly understood what Trump was stating, and reacted appropriately, by warning the European Union the USA can no longer be trusted like they have been in the past) decided to take to Twitter to protest.  Trump stated Germany has too good of a trade deal with the US, doesn't pay enough to NATO, and implies he has the power to order Germany to do whatever he wants
  • Trump, on a Twitter temper tantrum, takes the side of the Russian, AGAIN! He implies the Russians must be laughing at the "Fake News" implying they cost the US a fair election.  Sure, Bond villain laughing...
  • The GOP is currently having strategy sessions nationwide to figure out their biggest problem for 2018: how to disavow Trump and everything he's doing without losing his fervent voting base
  • Trump is vowing to undo the opening of relations former President Obama did with Cuba, by rescinding the open borders rules and imposing harsh new guidelines on Cuba.  Why?  No idea
  • The FBI is zeroing in on a specific meeting Trump Son in Law and Presidential Adviser Jared Kushner had with Russian Dictator Vladimir Putin ally Sergey Gorkov, a "representative" from a sanctioned Russian Bank.  The meeting took place, for 30 minutes, in December.  The bank has had sanctions against it since 2014, and has been known to be an official front for Russian spies
  • Trump, during his highly sensitive intelligence briefings, prefers to have lots of pictures and graphics to help him understand things better, like a 1st grader.  According to one official, 'we have to get him the intelligence in a way he can understand it'
  • Mike Dubke has officially resigned as White House Communications Director
  • As some Trump apologists have starting implying Jared Kushner might have acted alone to try to set up a secret back channel for communication between Trump and the Kremlin, it's pointed out Kushner is not a rogue White House official, but a senior adviser who spends up to 5 hours daily in briefings with Trump, and more than likely was working under Trump's direct orders
  • The popular show Doctor Who has even started taking shots at Trump
  • The leaders of Europe's five nordic countries did a photo op mocking Trump's glowing orb photo, the bizarre photo he had taken in Saudi Arabia.  It should be noted that as these countries were openly mocking Trump, his Administration was touting his ability to build alliances
  • Senator Al Franken is calling for the removal of Jared Kushner's security clearance after the latest Russian revelations

  • The latest Trump associate to be ensnared in the Trump/Russia probe is Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen.  He's been asked by both the House and Senate to provide information and testimony in regards to any contacts he had during the campaign with the Russian Government
  • Micheal Cohen has officially denied the request for information from the Congress, calling the request "poorly phrased."  Red Rover, Red Rover, send treason on over...
  • Many are questioning the validity of what appears to be a real White House statement, as it reads more like something Trump would write himself.  The statement was released in response to the Washington Post report that Trump belittles his staff.  The statement reads "Trump has a magnetic personality and exudes positive energy, which is infectious to those around him" "He has an unparalleled ability to communicate with people..." "He is brilliant with a  a great sense of humor..."  That's some serious embellishing
  • Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn will comply with the Senate Intelligence Committee's request and hand over documents related to his businesses
  • White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer started a new strategy with the press, chewing them out even more. He called the media "fake news," criticized the anonymous sources of the stories which are all being proven true, and then himself defended Trump's promoting of a story which relied on a single unidentified source.  He then abruptly ended the press conference and walked out to angry shouts
  • A report on Trump's 30 million Twitter followers show that nearly half are fake accounts, with many of them coming on board in the month of May, 2017.  Why one of the more popular Twitter accounts would feel the need to employ bots to gain fake followers is a mystery
  • Trump, the first time he met minority chair of the House Intelligence Committee Rep. Adam Schiff, had a bizarre encounter which in turn lead to Trump, over the groans of his own staff, sharing classified information with the House Intelligence Committee's staff directors

  • When questioned about Trump's relationship with very vocal critic Angela Merkel, Sean Spicer  deflected away from direct questions and insisted their relationship was "fairly unbelievable"
  • IN ANOTHER BOMBSHELL STORY, in a conversation with former New York Observer editor Elizabeth Spiers, Jared Kushner defended Trump's insisting Obama wasn't born in the US, something Spiers had serious problems reporting, by saying "[Trump] doesn't really believe it, Elizabeth.  He just knows Republicans are stupid and they'll buy it."
  • Most of the White House staff is dreading Former Campaign Director Corey Lewandowski's imminent return to the Trump camp, as rumors are flying Trump will bring him onto staff soon

  • Sean Spicer, when asked if Trump believes in man made climate change, couldn't answer, falling back to the "I've never asked him" excuse
  • Trump is being scolded for trying to hand out his personal cell phone number to foreign leaders.  Trump thinks it's okay for world leaders to call him on his private cell phone.  It is not, for MANY reasons, but we'll go with the stupidity of handing out the President's cell phone number internationally.  A friend of mine, Trent Rice, is the person who started calling this the 'Carly Rae Jepsen Doctrine'
  • According to a report in The Guardian, Trump has succeeded in turning ICE into his personal military force.  ICE agents are repeatedly out of control are constantly violating individual's civil rights.  Some people have floated how they should be disbanded all together.  Unfortunately, ICE officials, under Trump's leadership, feel as if the Constitution and the law don't apply to them
  • Late last night, Trump tweeted out a spelling error.  He meant to spell 'coverage', but instead posted 'covfefe.' The typo stayed up online for over a hour.  As a guy who has tons of typos, I can't talk too much, but I'm also not the President of the Unites States of America
  • Trump tweets a defense of the un-defendable Russian traitor Carter Page, one of his former campaign advisers.  In his tweet, Trump seems to be referencing extremist far right news sources Breitbart and the Washington Examiner
  • Another member of Jared Kushner's family is caught using his ties to the Trump Administration to hawk real estate, as his uncle Murray Kushner sold property where investors were told they'd be working hand in hand with Jared, Ivanka and Trump himself
  • A new story raises the question of the separation between the White House staff and the reporters tasked to cover them, as Sean Spicer, while out drinking on the Middle East trip, told reporters if they wanted to ask him a question they had to 'take a shot.'  Imagine if this was a Democratic Press Secretary saying that
  • Fresh reports state Trump is indeed pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement, something even most Republicans want the US to stay in

  • Robert Muller's investigation team has picked a new member, as the Department of Justice's Fraud Section Chief Andrew Weissmann is joining the investigation into Trump and his connections to the Russians
  • First the White House refers to an audio only press conference as an "off-camera gaggle."(???)  They then tell everyone they can't broadcast the audio of the audio only press conference, blurring the definition of what a press conference really is

  • The EPA has halted methane emissions rules for the oil and gas industry, enacted under former President Obama
  • With all the anti-climate news coming to light, it's good time to point out that First Daughter and White House staffer doing...something(?) Ivanka Trump's argument 'she'd prevent an unraveling of planet saving initiatives designed to stem the tide of climate change' was all a lie
  • The latest polling form the Kaiser Family Foundation shows only 15-16% of the country is looking forward to Trumpcare being enacted

  • The House Intelligence Committee has issues seven new subpoenas, including ones for Michael Flynn and Michael Cohen

  • Trump, taking an easy swipe at Kathy Griffin, invokes his young son (which he suddenly seems to remember he has) and is openly using him as a crutch for his criticism
  • As Trump was condemning Kathy Griffin's actions, he seems to have forgotten how he applauded Rock musician(???) Ted Nugent for threatening to kill former President Obama and former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton

  • Holy crap!  Sean Spicer made the entire press corps laugh when he insisted Trump didn't misspell his 'covfefe' tweet
  • As the House, Senate and special investigation are all closing in on Trump, Rep. Devin Nunes, the man who said he'd recused himself from the Russian investigation because his clear conflict of interest with Trump, but then came back to say he was still staying involved, entitling him to subpoena people, is focusing all of his attention on trying to subpoena Obama era officials to try to make Trump's fake 'Obama wiretapped me' story come true
  • It seems Trump is using bots to generate fake Twitter followers so he can overtake Pope Francis as the largest Twitter account on Twitter.  That's actually really, really sad
  • Son in law and Presidential Adviser Jared Kushner is in trouble for a whole new reason, as Jared apparently used grants meant for low income housing in poor communities to help built his luxury condos
  • The Trump Administration is moving quickly to hand Russia back two diplomatic compounds, one in New York City and one in Maryland, compounds which officials were ejected from due to Russian interference into the 2016 Election
  • Racist incidents are skyrocketing, from racist graffiti at NBA player LeBron James' house, to a noose at the African American History Museum, to banners and flyers being distributed to communities and college campuses, to public harassment, even assault and murder.  I bring this up because Trump has insisted there isn't a growing racism problem in the USA
  • IN ANOTHER BOMBSHELL STORY - Remember when Attorney General Jeff Sessions insisted he was still trustworthy after failing to admit he'd had two previously undisclosed meetings with the Russian Ambassador,  meetings he failed to disclose numerous times?  I do! Sessions is now revealed to have met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak a third time, at the Mayflower hotel in DC, in April of 2016, without disclosing it.  Reminder, during his Senate confirmation hearings, Sessions instead he'd NEVER met with the Russians

  • Analysis of Trump's Twitter account indicate Trump is obsessed with former President Obama, as well as himself
  • One of the great 'Trump the Candidate' promises he made was how he was going to change the culture of Washington DC, to "drain the swamp."  So far, it's still pretty swampy, and getting swampier.  He's granted 17 TOP White House executives ethics waivers, including Kellyanne Conway and Steve Bannon, allowing lobbyists to work for the Administration in top tier jobs.  No word on the number of waivers Trump's issued for lower tiered positions
  • It appears another lobbyist is in position to get a plum White House job, if it comes to fruition, as Lobbyist David Urban may become the new Chief of Staff if Reince Priebus leaves, which appears to be quite likely
  • Trump also granted, retroactively, an ethics waiver to Steve Bannon, his Senior Presidential Adviser, to allow him to remain in close contact with his 'news' outlet Breitbart.  The retroactive element points to Bannon pulling the strings of Breitbart FROM the White House for the entire time he's been there
  • The Guardian is reporting the British organizer and primary supporter of Brexit, Nigel Farage, is another name which has appeared as a 'person of interest' in the FBI's Trump/Russia investigation, primarily as a connection between Russia/Trump and Wikileaks

  • White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney criticized the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) and implied the office should be disbanded.  This after the CBO exposed the incredible amount of hurt Trumpcare would cause if implemented, and took Mulvaney's latest budget proposal and exposed a 2 trillion dollar math error
  • The European Parliament has voted to stop allowing US citizens the ability to travel without a visa to EU countries.  This is because the Trump Administration has failed to offer visa free travel to five EU countries Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Poland, and Romania.  This means travel to Europe will now include a much longer application procedure, requiring months to get the proper paperwork
  • The ethics waiver Trump gave to Steve Bannon points to a paper trail that Steve Bannon still runs Breibart news

  • It's announced James Comey, former Director of the FBI, will testify next week in a public setting, in front of Congress
  • IN ANOTHER BOMBSHELL STORY, in a decision which will hurt American businesses, will lead to unrepairable relationship strains on many of our allies, will set the US on a course to falter economically for at least a generation, and will be recognized as possibly the largest scientific mistake made since people thought the earth was flat and the sun revolved around the earth, Trump formally announced the US would be leaving the Paris Agreement on Climate Change

  • Trump insists he'll negotiate a new deal, or pressure the remaining countries in the Paris Agreement to give us a "better deal"
  • Trump's decision to leave the Paris Agreement further validates the theory Senior Presidential Adviser Steve Bannon is in control of most of Trump's decisions
  • Trump's decision to leave the Paris agreement is partially based on a 3 trillion dollar reduction to the GDP to participate in the Agreement, but that number only counts the costs, not the benefits for embracing cleaner energy.  Cambridge University had a study which pegged the present value of the damage caused by climate change at 400 trillion dollars worldwide.  Citibank had a report which stated the cost of not addressing climate change in the US will be 44 trillion by 2060, while investing in low carbon energy would save 1.8 trillion through 2040, with continued returns well beyond
  • Trump falsely claimed the Paris Agreement only had a minimal impact on climate change and warming
  • It's apparent Trump doesn't understand what the Paris Agreement does, what it's designed to combat, or how each country operates under it
  • World leaders openly have condemned Trump's decision to leave the Paris Agreement, including the leaders of Canada, Germany, China, India, France, Belgium, Norway, The EU, The UN, Italy, and many, many others.  Many countries are now openly talking about trade sanctions against the USA in retaliation for Trump leaving the Paris Agreement.  And considering the countries still in the Paris Agreement, Trump is now further to the right than Kim Jung Un and Vladimir Putin

  • Apparently Trump called Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle for accolades and reassurance prior to announcing his decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement.  Guilfoyle is a name being mentioned to replace Sean Spicer, but with Trump's history, and the high level of personal attention he's showing Kimberly, I can't believe Melania is too happy about his new 'buddy'

FOR THE SAKE OF HUMANITY!

There are 18 other weeks like this, although the first few lists are (comparatively) short.  The historical context Republicans won't be able to explain is how they went from criticizing a President (Obama) for completely made up scandals (bowing too deeply to foreign leaders, sleeveless dresses on First Lady Michelle and him liking Dijon Mustard, INSTEAD OF AMERICAN FRENCH'S) but yet went silent when undeniable evidence of FAR more nefarious actions and utter incompetence emanated from Trump, and slapped them in the face!

I'm very concerned the silence of Republicans will end up changing the country from a beacon of Democracy to some sort of corporate feudalism, with a monarchy lifestyle for the ultra wealthy, controlled by a Republican only political structure, which is corrupted to it's core by egotism and nepotism.  I'm actually starting to wonder if we'll ever have another fair election in this country.

Before anyone scoffs at the notion, how many Trump supporters would defend Trump if he suggested postponing an election his side would lose, because "the emotions in this country are too high to allow it"?  They'd all be saying, "when everyone calms down and people's passions are not so out of control, then we'll have the election.  Until then, Trump was duly elected, so let's just keep him in office for awhile longer!"

It wouldn't be the first time a democracy fell.

I just want to spend the next three months next to a Minnesota lake...
