The Friday Link for 10/23/26

Hi everyone! 

Tonight, I'll start off with a great video from Farming While Beige.  He has a tremendous ability to cut through a lot of bull and get to the point.  This time, he takes on the rural Americans who feel as if the people targeted by Trump/MAGA need to be far more forgiving to their rural MAGA conservative counterparts now that they are the ones hurting and moving away from Trump. 

His response is perfect.

Next up is a cooking video from one of my favorites, the Anti-Chef.  Tis the season, so he's cooking everything with pumpkin.  I have to admit the roasting and just peeling off the skin trick is cool.

One flashback note.  The first thing he makes is bread, which he cooks in the microwave oven. I remember as a kid the cookbooks trying to incorporate microwaves into more cooking, but the vast majority of the recipes were garbage.  I do remember bread actually working in the microwave. This one seems to be pretty moist.  I also find it funny that this recipe came from a time when microwaves didn't have the spinning plate on the inside, so you had to manually rotate it in 1985.

If you are looking for a Halloween costume for next weekend, Evel Knievel is always a crowd pleaser, but remember the cape!

Joe Scott has a segment on the insane daredevil, overall jerk, as well as the crazy amount of damage he did to himself. I'm not sure if Knievel is the greatest entertainer of all time, but he was the first TikTok star 40 years before TikTok was a thing. 

Finally, tonight (apologies, Colts fans), the last time the Colts came to Minnesota was the greatest comeback in the history of the NFL.  The Vikings, down 33 to 0, won the game 39-36. That was crazy!
