The Friday Link for 12/5/25

Hello all!

I am going to start off this week with a blast from the past, or more accurately, a blast from my past.

I love Snoopy.  I had a Snoopy buddy when I was a little kid, and I loved it so much.  I have always loved the Peanuts Characters, and even bought every book in the anthology they released.

I also had a lot of Peanuts books as a kid, including the Peanuts Cookbook. It was a simple little thing with very basic recipes (although making lollipops probably scarred some kids).  I hadn't thought about that book in nearly 50 years!

Somehow, Anti-Chef got a copy of it and decided to make every recipe in the thing. This is fun. I think I made the cheese and tomato sandwich and the cinnamon toast.

I might as well head to another cooking video for the Link this week. Max Miller and Tasting History have a great story of the German gingerbread baker who helped fight the American Revolution with George Washington. I do like gingerbread, but it is only something I can eat around the holidays.

I also enjoyed him showing us how to use the old school molds!

Finally, this week, a video from Astro Alexandra, a space and science account which has great videos, mainly because Alexandra is so passionate about her subjects and has a great delivery style.

That said, focus on exactly what she is saying here.  They found WHAT on this asteroid?!?  What was that strange gummy substance?

That's all for this week!

Be safe.  Stay up to date on your vaccinations and F- those clowns at the CDC!
